More Than a Saturday Class
A place to learn, grow, and connect with faith.
The Weekend School at Islamic School of Brantford gives children and teens a consistent place to build their relationship with the Quran, strengthen their Islamic knowledge, and grow alongside their community.
Our curriculum is designed as a progressive learning journey. As children grow, their learning grows with them—from recognizing Arabic letters and learning short surahs to developing Quran recitation, Tajweed, Tafseer, Islamic knowledge, Adab, and confidence.
Every age group follows a clear, age-appropriate curriculum so students can build a strong foundation before moving on to deeper learning.
What We Teach
Three areas of learning. One journey of growth.
Quranic Arabic
Students build the reading skills needed to engage with the Quran—from Arabic letters and word formation to reading directly from the Mushaf and short Arabic texts.
Islamic Studies
Students learn the foundations of Aqeedah, Salah, Iman, Seerah, Duas, Adab, and Islamic character in ways that grow with their age.
Character & Confidence
Islamic education is not only about what we know. It is also about how we live. Students explore good manners, responsibility, presentation skills, teamwork, and serving others.
Learning Through Activities
Throughout the year, students will have opportunities to participate in Islamic games, crafts, projects, presentations, competitions, community service, and special activities.

Early Learners
Ages 3–5
A gentle introduction to Quran, Arabic letters, and foundational Islamic learning.

$75 / month
September – June. Monthly tuition is the same regardless of the number of Saturdays in the month.
Annual Supplies Fee
$150 / year
A one-time, per-child fee covering the materials students need throughout the year.

Fee Information
The first month's tuition and annual supplies fee are due at registration. There is no registration fee.
- Tuition is charged for the instructional months of September through June.
- Monthly tuition is charged regardless of the number of Saturdays in a particular month.
- Tuition is non-refundable after the first week of the month.
- Missed classes are non-refundable.
- Make-up classes are not provided.
- The annual $150 supplies fee is non-refundable.

Does my child need prior Islamic knowledge?
Children in the Early Learners and Young Learners groups do not need prior Islamic knowledge. For Intermediate and Teen Learners, basic Quran and Islamic knowledge is preferred, but it is not required.
How are students grouped?
Students are grouped by age into four learning groups. We do not conduct individual placement assessments for the Weekend School.
Is the Arabic program conversational Arabic?
No. The Weekend School focuses specifically on Quranic Arabic and the reading skills needed to engage with the Quran.
What ages can attend?
The Weekend School is designed for children and teens from ages 3 to 16.
Does the program run every Saturday?
The program runs on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM during the September–June instructional year. Specific breaks and holidays will follow the Weekend School calendar.
Where is the Weekend School located?
Classes are held at Islamic School of Brantford, 984 Colborne St E, Brantford, ON N3S 3T4.
Can families from outside Brantford register?
Yes. We welcome families from Brantford, Paris, Hamilton, and surrounding communities.
What does the supplies fee cover?
The $150 annual supplies fee is charged per child and covers learning materials and supplies used throughout the year, including textbooks, workbooks, printed materials, stationery, activity supplies, and other required resources.
What happens if my child misses a Saturday?
Missed classes are non-refundable, and make-up classes are not provided.
Are spaces limited?
Yes. Spaces are limited, so we encourage families to register early.
